Rethinking Processes
October 31, 2024
Introduction
Efficient and modern processes are key to a company’s long-term success in a dynamic, ever-changing business environment. Traditional workflows often struggle to keep pace with the demands of modern technologies and work methods, such as AI-supported processes. Why should processes be reimagined? Because without adapting to today’s challenges, they remain inefficient and error-prone. How can we achieve this? Through a clear analysis of the current state, identifying pain points and blind spots, and prioritizing actions for optimization. Where should this happen? Ideally in a neutral space that offers room for fresh perspectives – like Innoveto’s specially designed workshop location, “the kitchen” in Zurich.
Rethinking Processes – Why Now?
Traditional workflows tend to become cumbersome and error-prone as they develop over time. With increasing work complexity, they can no longer meet modern demands. Implementing new technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence, can optimize and automate processes, leading to more dynamic workflows, fewer errors, and higher overall productivity. Those who adapt their processes to today’s possibilities create a solid foundation for sustainable success and competitiveness.
Rethinking Processes – How?
Documenting the Current State
A detailed sketch of the current process lays the groundwork for decisions and discussions, shaping the rest of the workshop. Step-by-step, the team develops an optimized process – not as it might sound ideally, but as it should be experienced in everyday practice.
Pain Points and Blind Spots
This step can be challenging. After mapping out the current process, we dive deep into the workflow with a clear structure to identify pain points: the areas that hinder efficiency, provoke errors, and drain motivation. At the same time, we search for blind spots – aspects previously overlooked that could positively impact productivity.
Prioritizing – The First Step to Success
Faced with a mountain of challenges and opportunities, it can be hard to know where to begin. In the third part of the workshop, we tackle this head-on, evaluating pain points and blind spots based on clear criteria to create a “priority list” that guides us through the work without losing focus.
… and Action!
We know where to start, but questions may remain about the how. After the workshop, Innoveto documents all results and complements them with actionable recommendations, discussed in a follow-up meeting.
Example: Representation of a process according to eCH-0158 BPMN modeling conventions
What You Get:
• Analysis of the real-life current process (Miro/PDF) (eCH-0158 BPMN modeling
conventions)
• Action Board with Pain Points and Blind Spots
• Tailored process optimization proposals with recommendations
• Review meeting presenting workshop results
• “the kitchen”: top workshop location in Zurich
Where to Rethink Processes?
Ideally offsite, where a neutral location provides fresh perspectives.
Innoveto has set up “the kitchen” for workshops – centrally located at Hottingerplatz in District 7, just three tram stops from Zurich’s main station. Here, you’ll find everything needed to rethink processes.
Costs
